The Home Builders Association of Northwest Connecticut was a Platinum Sponsor of the 2009 HOBI awards.

The Home Builders Association of Northwest Connecticut and the Litchfield County Board of Realtors have plans to present the 2010 Living Green Home Show at the Torrington Armory on May 1, 2010.

  HBA of Northwest Connecticut members are eligible to apply for business insurance coverage through the Hartford Insurance Company.  One agency that services these policies is HBA member USI Insurance Services of Connecticut.  Shown in the July 1, 2009 photo below is HBA board member Greg Ugalde holding the 2009 insurance royalty check that was presented to the association by USI agents Kim LaGuardia and Chris Wardrop.

The HBA of Northwest Connecticut is pleased to partner with the Litchfield County Board of Realtors in presenting the "Green House".  This home was built at 96 Tognalli Drive (lot #14) in Torrington and showcases environmentally friendly construction. The Green House was constructed using green guidelines developed by the National Association of Home Builders Research Center Tognalli Drive is a new cul-de-sac off Clearview Avenue.  Click here to get directions.  An article about the groundbreaking appeared on the front page of the Register-Citizen newspaper. HBA members meet with U.S. Congressman Christopher Murphy

Members of the HBA of Northwest Connecticut went to a construction site with U.S. Congressman Christopher Murphy and then met with him at the HBA office to discuss housing issues.  The meeting with Murphy was featured in the National Association of Home Builders Washington Update.
